Filmmaker JOHN KIRBY - The Responders; Breaking the Silence

Director John Kirby‘s feature debut was The American Ruling Class, a “dramatic-documentary-musical” starring Lewis Lapham. That film played in theaters and won prizes in festivals all over the world. It was dubbed “Astonishing” by The London Observer, “Divine madness” by The Montreal Mirror, it “K.O.’d” Studs Terkel, and was hailed by luminaries from Bill Moyers to Peter Wintonick, who called it “the most cinematically subversive film to come along this decade.”
John has directed, edited and consulted on dozens of documentaries and non-fiction series. He Co-Directed Cape Spin: An American Power Struggle, showcased at the Woodstock Film Festival and the International Documentary Film Festival of Amsterdam.
Kirby's latest project with Handros is a major documentary film franchise titled Four Died Trying, https://www.fourdiedtrying.com/ which examines the assassinations of the 1960's in a bracingly fresh historical light. Christopher is a 30-year member of the Franklin Square & Munson Fire Department, having served as Chief from 2007-2012 and subsequently as Fire Commissioner. He is also a veteran of the Marine Corps as well as an EMT of 25 years.
He traveled with us and several other 9/11 activists to Washington DC on September 11, 2019 to meet with Members of Congress, and brought them the LC911 Grand Jury Petition and the Bobby McIlvane Act for a new investigation of the WTC.
This NY Fire Commissioner spearheaded the effort that led the entire body of Fire Commissioners at Franklin Square Munson Fire Department to vote in favor of support for the LC911 Grand Jury Petition.
