This video is a livestream broadcast of a re-release of my most popular conscious hip hop mix from 2013, which was in a sense, a soundtrack to my awakening. This mix is quite integral to my channel, which is the main album I usually tell people to check out first if they're new to my work. A few tracks in should reveal to the listener where I got my DJ handle AwakenYaMind from as well. Reflecting back on it after all this time made me realize that this mix is the closest encompassment to what my channel represents. The song selection was also important to me by how it represents where I'm from with most of the artists featured are Bay Area legends. The underground hip hop scene there was a place of salvation for me growing up in high school. The messages & knowledge expressed in this mix were just a sample of what I learned from artists like these, and even at an early age of not being awake, these spiritual sentiments left an imprint on my mentality that would later resonate on so many deeper levels when revisiting these sounds after my awakening and even to this day, for music expressing Eternal Principles is timeless!
When I initially awakened & activated in 2012, my knowledge & grammar of the occult and such was still quite infantile, yet, my understanding and profound convictions were much more advanced, thus I started curating hundreds of songs and sound samples from musicians, researchers & truth speakers that could portray the knowledge that I resonated with and was still learning & discerning about.
