The Law of Freedom, Part 2: Code and Consciousness

The Law of Freedom as it relates to code and consciousness.

Are laws like a program or code? Do they take input, process those inputs, and then produce outputs? Looking at scientific laws, they represent a modeling of relationships or interactions:

Force of Gravity = Gravitational constant*((mass1*mass2)/(distance*distance))

Are laws just representations of the dynamics in reality that interact? Or are they also things in themselves, like the code of a program is something itself? The symbols in the equations describe interactions of things, and results that come about from those interactions, like gravity. But is that equation of law describing an actual thing in the universe, as some underlying fabric of the universe, like code in a program is underlying what a user sees, doing “work” to produce responses on the screen?

What creates the results in reality, in the output? Is it the interactions of things, the law that processes the input of interactions and without which there would be no output?

If X, then Y. X leads to Y. Y doesn’t happen without the condition of X being present. If the same conditions repeat, we get the same results. The repetition has regularity. Laws are like an unchanging condition (“code”) that leads to Y.

If the condition of mass is present, then gravity happens. We can observe the mass and the effect of gravity, but we can’t observe the underlying “mechanics” of the law as “code”. Laws are like an algorithm, taking conditions as an input (often “visible”), processing and doing something with them (hidden), then returning something as an output or result (“visible”), like a program. The result of a specific effect of gravity is based on the presence of masses and their distance. All laws aren’t observable in themselves, they are hidden, and can only be “seen” by the results that are created by certain conditions.
